Mt. ABI peak (6,043m) climbing is one of the classic and alpine style climbing peak of Nepal which is compose of the rock-ice mixture mountain in Shuangqiao valley of Qionglai mountains chain.According to Sherpa language ‘ABI” mean small mountains. ABI peak isolated the Khumbu himal range that lies in the Mahalangur Solukhumbu region. Mt. ABI peak is also called as Cholo and Kangchung peak from where the pass reaches it and the Kangchunga La so both of these peaks could be an adventure peak in itself.
The only challenge of climbing Kangchung summit is to overcome ice falls however wind, snow, short but steep vertical approach can be extremely tough even for experienced mountaineers. Also, the climbing cholo is easier with the right use of rope and axes, climbers can easily make it to the summit along a narrow snow gorge and pass the ridges. ABI peak is specially designed for all those mountaineers who are seeking to climb the peaks above 8000m also best destination to have an experience or training of ice climbing and high altitude acclimatization.
