On the third day you will drive to Ganden, the starting point of the Samye Trek. Ganden Samye trek is a demanding trek it cross two high passes – Shug-la and Chitu-la, both of which are around 5000m. As you travel along the 80km trekking trail that skirts barley fields and nomadic pastureland, you get a chance to see the Tibetan lifestyle at close quarters and experience the real Tibet.
