Outline Itinerary

1 Delhi – Dehradun – Rishikesh

 Arrive at IGI Airport New Delhi, Take a flight from IGI Airport to Jolly Grant Airport (Dehradun Airport), Upon arrival at Dehradun Airport, Meet our representative thereafter drive to Rishikesh (30 minutes drive) Rishikesh also known as Yoga capital of the world lies in the Shivalik ranges of the Himalayas. 2 2 Rishikesh to Ghat Drive (1300m) (210Km/7-8Hrs)

After breakfast checkout and drive towards Ghat, During this 210 km journey from Rishikesh to Ghat, you will get tired, but you will also enjoy the panoramic views of the mountains along with Alaknanda river all way along with the four and most popular confluences of the Garhwal Himalayan Rivers. Devprayag (Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers), Rudraprayag (Alaknanda and Mandakani rivers), Karnprayag (Rivers Alaknanda and Pindar) and Nandprayag (Alaknanda River and Nandakini River). Ghat is a beautiful village in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand known for its beauty. Overnight dinner and stay in guest house or camp.

3 3 Ghat to Ghunni Via Selu Bagar Drive(8Km/30min) – Ghunni (1900m) Trek (7-8Km/4-5hrs)

After hot breakfast, take a Jeep to Selu Bagar which is about 7-8Kms from Ghat and will take around 30mins to reach. It is like a small place that have some of small huts/village shops, which is the starting point of our trek. Here you can find, the porters and the ponies. The trek starts on this route of normal difficulty. On the way you will cross the villages Ramni and Ghunni. This stretch is quite interesting where you can see the villagers engaged in their daily activities, beautiful Himalayan houses, etc. After you cross these villages, trek takes you to an open upland, right above Ghunni. This is where you can set your tents for overnight stay. Overnight dinner and stay in tents at Ghunni.

4 4 Ghunni to Jhinjhi Village (1800m) via Vinayak Pass (2700m) Trek (14kms/6-7Hrs)

 After early breakfast start the trek so that you can enjoy the long trekking of the day along with some of the most amazing views. The train takes you to the top of the ridge, After crossing the the ridge, you’ll arrive at an open floral meadow that offers a fascinating view of the Himalayas including Chaukahmba and Nandna Ghunti. After spending some time here, start trekking again, crossing Rhododendron forests, and meadow grasslands where you can view some old huts, cattle and sheep. Continue your trail to arrive at Vinayak Pass(2700m), a place with small temple with a prayer flags. From this pass, enjoy the excellent views of the Himalayan peaks and a distant view of the Kuari pass. We’ll then start with our descend which takes down to the opening of Sem Kharak, crossing which we reach the village of Jhinjhi, our destination for the day. Overnight dinner and stay in camps.

5 5 Jhinjhi to Pana Village (2043m) (8-9Kms/5-6Hrs)

Wake up in the morning and after breakfast start your trek down to Jhinji pul and then cross Birahi Ganga river. The suspension bridge over the river is really long and worth mentioning. Once you cross the bridge, it takes you to the valley’s right. Keep trekking uphill and you will pass across the beautiful Rhododendron forests that bring you to Kaliagad settlement in Pana village. Take a descending trek of about one kilometer and reach the campsite in the village. Overnight dinner and stay in camps.

6 6 Pana to Dakhwani (3300) (12-13Kms/6-7Hrs)

After breakfast, start the trek, Starting trekking above the camp site, passing Rhododendron forest, As we start the day, we descend gradually to Sartoli (2900m), a summer grazing ground , a pasture land for the cattle and the sheep. One can get the glimpse of the Kurai Pass and begin a descending trek for a few kilometers. In the later part of the trek, you’ll need to trek downwards, and along the side of the stream and then a very steep stretch Cross the side of the stream, after which a steep ascending trek starts, taking you to the top of the ridge. Then trail further is ascending, taking you one more side stream, Climb for about half an hour to the camp site. Arrive at your campsite Dakhwani. Enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Dinner and overnight stay in the tents.

7 7 Dakhwani – Kuari Pass (3800 mts/ ft) –Tali (9 kms/5-6 hrs)

This day requires an early start in order to get a magnificent view at the pass. Climb through the forest till you cross the tree line part. From here, you trek through the valley’s left, continuing with a number of switch backs right to the Kuari Pass (3800 meters). This pass offers you some very magnificent views of the snow covered greater Himalayan peaks. Relax here for few moments and continue a ascending trek that brings you to a place offering a nice view of Dronagiri peak. From here, you descend up to a point that takes you to the parting point to Tali and Tapovan. Continue trekkng towards Tali, the pacle that has a temple and prayer flags.
    Again spend some time here, enjoying views of the Nanda Devi peak along with other Himalaya peaks. Afterwards crossing the pasture lands, and a forest finally arrive at Tali. Dinner and overnight stay in tents at Tali.

8 8 Tali to Joshimath (1875) Via Auli (2500M) (17Kms/7-8hrs)

  Today it’s going to be a easy day. After breakfast, Start trekking with a gradual climb across the mountain ridge, later the ridge becomes narrow where one need to trek carefully till you reach Gorson meadows. You are now being completely surrounded by the Himalayas. Crossing Gorson meadow is a nice experience. After a few kilometers trek one can now see Auli. Here you say goodbye to the porters and the ponies. From Auli, you get into a jeep to go 13 km to Joshimath. Joshimath not only a famous religious centre, but also a beautiful hill town. Check-in at your hotel, Dinner and overnight at Joshimath.
    Again spend some time here, enjoying views of the Nanda Devi peak along with other Himalaya peaks. Afterwards crossing the pasture lands, and a forest finally arrive at Tali. Dinner and overnight stay in tents at Tali.

9 9 Tali to Joshimath (1875) Via Auli (2500M) (17Kms/7-8hrs)

Early morning drive to Dehradun via Rishikesh. Arrive Dehradun Airport by late afternoon. Departure for airport to catch onward flight according to your flight schedule.
