Delhi

Delhi, officially the National Capital Territory of Delhi, is a city and a union territory of India. The area around Delhi was probably inhabited before the second millennium BC and there is evidence of continuous inhibition since at least the 6the century BC. The city is believed to be the site of Indraprastha, the legendary capital of the Pandavas in the indian epic Mahabharata.

Bagdogra

Bagdogra is a census town in Darjeeling district in the Indian state of West bengal, which is surrounded by tea gardens. Different types of religious people live in Bagdogra with peace and harmony. There are many gumbas, temples, mosques, churches, gurudwaras. In short, Bagdogra is small replica of secular India.

Darjeeling

Darjeeling is a town in the Indian state of West Bengal. It is located in the Lesser Himalayas and famous for its tea industry.

Darjeeling has a temperate climate with wet summers caused by monsoon rains. The annual mean maximum temperature is 14.9 degree c, while the mean minimum temperature is 8.9 degree.Darjeeling is a part of the Eastern Himalayan zoo-geographic zone. Flora around Darjeeling comprises sal, oak, semi-evergreen, temperate and alpine forests.

Darjeeling is noted for its views of the Kangchenjunga, the world’s third-highest mountain, and the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Gangtok

Gangtok is a city, municipality, the capital and the largest town of the Indian state of Sikkim. It is located in the eastern Himalayan range, at an elevation of 1,650 m. Gangtok is the main base for Sikkim tourism. Summer and spring seasons are the most popular tourist seasons.

A popular food in Gangtok is the momo, a steamed dumpling containing pork, beef and vegetables cooked in a doughy wrapping and served with watery soup.

the Nathula Pass, located about 50 km from Gangtok, used to be the primary route of the wool, fur and spice trade with Tibet.Gangtok features a monsoon-influenced subtropical highland climate. Because of its elevation and sheltered environment, Gangtok enjoys a mild, temperate climate all year round.

Kalimpong

Kalimpong is a hill station in the Indian state of West Bengal. It is located at an average elevation of 1,250 metres.

the town centre is on a ridge connecting two hills, Deolo Hill and Durpin Hill, at an elevation of 1,247 m. Deolo, the highest point in Kalimpong, has an altitude of 1,704 m, and Durpin Hill is at an elevation of 1,372 m.

Tourism is the most significant contributor to Kalimpong’s economy. The summer and spring seasons are the most popular with tourists. The are around Kalimpong lies in the Eastern Himalayas, which is classified as an ecological hotspot, one of only three among the ecoregions of India.

Kathmandu

Kathmandu is the capital city of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal. It is the largest metropolis in Nepal. Kathmandu is also the largest metropolis in the Himalayan hill region. It stands at an elevation of 1,400 metres above sea level.

Kathmandu valley is described as ‘an enormous treasure house of art and sculptures’, which are made of wood, stone, metal and terracotta, and found in profusion in temples, shrines, stupas, gompas, chaityas and palaces.

Chitwan

Chitwan is one of 77 districts of Nepal, and is located in the southwestern part of Province No 3. The district takes its name from the Chitwan Valley, one of Nepal’s Inner Terai valleys between the Mahabharat and Siwalik ranges both considered foothills of the Himalayas.

Chitwan is very popular for tasty Tass, a spicy fried goat meat dish served with bhuja or cheura available in many restaurants. Chitwan has a particularly rich flora and fauna. Nepal’s first national park, the Chitwan National Park together with the adjacent Parsa National Park.

Pokhara

Pokhara is a metropolis, and is the largest city of Nepal in terms of area, and the second largest city in terms of population.

Pokhara Lekhnath is home to many Gurkha soldiers. It is also considered as the tourism capital of Nepal.  The city has a humid subtropical climate, however, the elevation keeps temperatures moderate.

Pokhara lies on an important old trading route between China and India.There are numerous temples and gumbas in and around pokhara valley. Many temples serve as combines places of worship for Hindus and Buddhists.

In recent decades, Pokhara has become a major tourist destination. It is considered the tourism capital of Nepal in South Asia mainly for adventure tourism and thee base for the famous Annapurna Circuit trek.

 

Outline Itinerary

1 1 Arrival in Delhi

Welcome and assistance at the Indira Gandhi International airport and transfer to hotel.

 

2 2 Sightseeing in Delhi

Full day sightseeing tour of Delhi. Visit: Qutub Minar, Lotus Temple, Humayun’s Tomb, Indira Gandhi Museum, India Gate, President House, Birla Temple in New Delhi. Red Fort, Jama Masjid and Raj Ghat – the cremation place of Mahatma Gandhi in Old Delhi. Evening free and overnight stay at hotel.

 

3 3 Flight to Bagdogra, drive to Darjeeling


Morning transfer to airport to connect flight for Bagdogra. Welcome and assistance upon arrival in Bagdogra Airport. Transfer to Darjeeling , which is around 3 hours drive. Overnight stay at hotel.

 

4 4 Sightseeing in Darjeeling

Early morning excursion trip to Tiger Hill to behold the most spectacular sunrise and the Himalayan Mountains with the visit to Ghoom Monastery (Yiga-Choling) to see the statue of Maitry (Coming Buddha). After breakfast half day local sightseeing tour of Darjeeling. Visit: Tibetan refugee Self Help Centre, Tea Garden, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park and Market. Afternoon enjoy Toy Train ride (subject to operation) upto Ghoom and back by Car/Jeep. Overnight at hotel.

5 5 Darjeeling to Gangtok

Drive to Gangtok by Car/Jeep. Upon arrival direct transfer to hotel. Evening free and overnight stay at hotel.

 

6 6 Sightseeing in Gangtok

Morning excursion trip to Rumtek Monastery, Tibetology & Orchid Sanctuary. Afternoon visit: Enchey Monastery, Cottage Industry, Tashiling, White Hall & Lall Market. Overnight stay at hotel

7 7 Gangtok to Kalimpong

Morning drive to Kalimpong by Car/Jeep. Upon arrival direct transfer to hotel.
Afternoon half day sightseeing tour of Kalimpong. Visit: Durpin Dara, Tharpa choling Monastery, Zong Dog Palri Fo-brang Monastery, Nursery & Market. Overnight stay at hotel.

8 8 Drive to Bhadrapur, flight to Kathmandu

Morning drive to Bhadrapur to connect flight for Kathmandu. Assistance at Kathmandu airport and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day free and overnight at hotel.

9 9 Sightseeing around Kathmandu

Morning full day sightseeing tour. Visit Patan City, Swayambhunath Temple, Boudhanath, Pashupati and Bhaktapur. Overnight stay at hotel.

 

10 10. Kathmandu to Chitwan - Rafting

After breakfast drive to Charaudi where our rafting crew will be waiting for you with all necessary equipments for the rafting like boat, life jacket, helmet etc. once we reach there, the guide will give us short briefings soon after which we start the rafting. We raft for about 1 & half hour and stop for lunch. Packed lunch will be provided. We again raft for about 1 & ½ hour and we end our rafting at Fishling, from where we drive to our onward destination Chitwan. Upon arrival direct transfer to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

11 11 Chitwan

Early morning Elephant Safari and return to hotel for breakfast.
Later free time and afternoon Canoeing and Jungle Walk. Overnight at hotel.

 

12 12 Chitwan to Pokhara

Morning drive to Pokhara by Greenline Deluxe Coach. Rest of the day free for individual activities. Overnight stay at hotel.

 

13 13 Sightseeing in Pokhara

Morning half day sightseeing tour of Pokhara. Rest of the day free and overnight at hotel.

 

14 14. Pokhara to Kathmandu

Morning transfer to airport to connect flight for Kathmandu. Assistance at the airport and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day free for individual activities. Overnight stay at hotel.

 

15 15 Mountain Flight & Departure

Morning transfer to domestic airport for Mountain Flight. Afternoon transfer to airport to connect flight for onward destination.
