Description

  • Transfer to Darjeeling
  • Today Pick up from Phuntsholing Bhutan border, Bagdogra Airport, New Jalpaiguri Station or Bhadrapur Airport and transfer to Darjeeling. Check in at Darjeeling. Leisure overnight.

  • Tiger Hill to see the view of Sun rise over Mt Kanchendzonga.
  • Today early morning Transfer to Tiger Hill to see the view of Sun rise over Mt Kanchendzonga. While returning visit Yiga-Choling (Ghoom). Then to the Hotel for Darjeeling Tea Breakfast and after breakfast transfer for sightseeing around Darjeeling the places you will be visiting are as follows
  • Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park which has the Siberian tiger, Himalayan black bear, red panda, snow leopard and many other animal and bird species, and the nearby snow leopard breeding center.
  • Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, a training center for mountaineers which also houses the Everest museum’ Natural History Museum, with its fine display of Himalaya wildlife.
  • Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center, a major center for the production of Tibetan carpets, woodwork and leather goods;
  • Tea Garden and Tea Factory.
  • Peace Pegoda.
    Then in the evening back to the hotel. Leisure overnight.

  • Darjeeling to Maneybhanjyang to Tonglu:
  • Pick up from Darjeeling in the morning and Drive to Maneybhanjyang (2134m), ( 1 1/2 hrs), the starting point of the trek. The days walk , about 06 hrs , is uphill and the trail passes through small village of Chitre and forests of Rhododendrons and Magnolias. The camping area at Tonglu ( 3020m) is located on a hill top over looking the Sikkim Himalayas. Overnight at Tonglu.

  • Tonglu to Kalpokhri:
  • This is also a pleasant walk through the forest which is home to the rare Red Panda and the Tragopan. After about 05 hrs the camping area of Kalapokhri (3100 m) is reached, where we spend the night.

  • Kalpokhri to Sandakphu:
  • After breakfast , start the trek to Sandakphu (3636m) which takes about 06 hrs. Sandakphu is the place to view the mountains.On a clear day one can see the peaks of Lhotse( 8501m), Everest( 8848m) and Makalu(8475m) of the Nepal Himalayas and the huge Kanchenjunga massif (8586m) along with other peaks of the Sikkim himalayas.Overnight at Sandakphu

  • Sandakphu to Phalut:
  • The trail is along a ridge and can be considered as one of the most enjoyable and scenic walks in the Himalayas. The whole range of snowy peaks is always in view and the trail passes through high altitude vegetation and areas of dwarf rhododendrons and firs. The walk to Phalut(3600m) is about 07 hours. Overnight at Phalut.

  • Phalut to Rammam
  • Early morning walk up to Phalut Top to view the sunrise over the himalayas. After breakfast start trek to Rammam (2560m) which takes about 05 hrs. The trail passes through the villages of Gorkhey and Samanden and the forest provides ample oppurtunities for bird sightsighting. Overnight at Rammam.

  • Rammam to Rimbik:
  • From Rammam the trail descends (6 hours) to the bridge at Sirikhola and passes through a number of small villages to reach Rimbik (2280m), the road head. Overnight at Rimbick

  • Departure
  • Today after breakfast transfer from Rimbick to Bhadrapur Airport, Phuntsholing, Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaigur Rail Station with wonderful memories with your tour trek.
