Description
Our Mardi Himal Trek is designed for nature lovers who want to experience the beauty of the Annapurna region in central Nepal, but away from the crowds. This trek explores the slopes of the Mardi Himal that rises to 5653m in front of the iconic and sacred Machhapuchhare (Fish Tail, 6997m).
The trail climbs from fast flowing streams in forests of dense bamboo, rhododendron and oak to ridge crests where small and hospitable farming communities work their terraced lands. These village people have not felt the impact of mass tourism and thus offer you the opportunity to experience their warmth, hospitality and customs that have remained largely unchanged for generations. r.
The scenery expands as the trail rises, offering stupendous views of Himalayan giants from Dhaulagiri (8167m) to the Annapurna group: I (8091m), II (7937m), III (7555m), IV (7525m), South (7219m) and Hiunchuli (6441m).Over 60 peaks in this region are higher than 6000m. Few other locations can offer so close an encounter.
While the best trekking months are in April-May and September-October, we offer this trek throughout the year. Our circular route has been chosen to help you to acclimatise fully before reaching the alpine regions above 3500m which makes this trek possible for anyone who is fairly fit and adventurous.
Our costs include permits, transport, to and from Kathmandu, local porters, accommodation, all meals, safe drinking water and showers. Additional drinks etc. will be for your expense.
